Planned Maintenance Notice

We’re upgrading our systems to enhance your experience, including a brand-new, improved Planning Register. While things may look a little different, rest assured the services you rely on will still be the same.

This site includes only those records which the District Council hold on computer, and is not therefore a complete database of all information held by the Council. Plans, drawings and material submitted to the local authority are protected by the Copyright Acts 1988 Act (section 47). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with the approved plans. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner, (the applicant/agent/architect). You may, however, make copies of the decision notice provided the copies are not altered in any way.

With regard to Ordnance Survey mapping or any mapping created from Ordnance Survey material, you are reminded that this is also subject to Crown Copyright. You may view or download this for private and non-commercial purposes only. Such mapping may not be further sub-licensed, sold, demonstrated, lent or otherwise transferred or exploited without the prior written permission of Ordnance Survey.

Personal Data

The Council will try to ensure that only information which forms part of the Statutory Register is made available on this website. Applicants' Name and Address - this forms part of the Statutory Register and must, therefore, appear on the website. The Council will, however, make every effort to remove personal details such as telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures prior to the information appearing on this website.

Names and Addresses of those commenting on an Application - comments made on planning applications are regarded as forming part of the Statutory Register and, as such, the Council has a duty to make this information available for public inspection (in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Access to Information Act (1985) and will, therefore, publish letters received in connection with a planning application on this website. The Council will make every effort to remove personal details such as telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures prior to the information appearing on this website, although wherever possible, please do not include these details.

Please note: If you do not provide or do not wish your name and address to appear on this website or within the case file then your comments will be treated as anonymous and your views will not be taken into account by the planning officer.

Once an application is determined (whether this is by the Council, the Planning Inspectorate or by the Secretary of State) any comments made on that application will be removed from the website.
